Locate

The project involves the revitalisation of an agricultural estate in Locate Varesino (CO), covering approximately 6 hectares of gently sloping land. The estate, currently in a state of semi-abandonment, comprises uncultivated land, woodlands, two main masonry buildings, and various agricultural outbuildings. These structures were originally used for hunting and agriculture, with the main buildings serving as a hunting lodge, aviaries, and enclosures for game breeding.

The revitalisation aims to re-establish the estate’s functionality through a comprehensive redesign, which includes both the restoration of existing structures and the construction of new buildings. The proposed interventions respect the surrounding landscape and promote environmental sustainability, with a focus on integrating the estate seamlessly into the natural surroundings.

The design includes potential agritourism facilities and animal care structures, capitalising on the estate’s location within a Regional Park. This approach seeks to generate income for the long-term upkeep of the estate, fostering a sustainable future. The project envisions a harmonious balance between modern agritourism needs and the preservation of the estate's rural character, enhancing its aesthetic and environmental value while supporting the local economy through low-impact tourism.
